Bear Woods?? Bear
Woods
is the name given to 10 acres of beautiful forested land on
Whidbey Island, Washington. After purchasing the property in 1999, a
steep road
and
water well have been added. I love the intact native forest, rolling
terrain, diverse plant life, and high elevation. No neighbors within
half a kilometer helps too, except the coyotes, rabbits, hawks, owls,
woodpeckers, and dozens of other wild things.
I
am an environmentalist in my heart and I will preserve this little
corner of nature as long as I can.
I have a dream to retire to a small house there with lots of friends that come to visit my forest. The trick is to come as close as you dare to your dreams and still have your sanity and finances intact. 20 December, 2008 |
